- Batch = grouped, easy control totals, not current; real-time = immediate, needs stronger access/logging
- Relational DB: primary key + foreign key; referential integrity prevents orphan records
- ACID: Atomicity, Consistency, Isolation, Durability
- ERP = one integrated database → single source of truth, but concentration risk
- IaaS → PaaS → SaaS: customer manages progressively less
